Dates: Aug. 12-19, 2007

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

It was Wednesday and I was excited as it was my 2nd day in Cincy. After seeing my one of my two favorite players, Mark Knowles practice, and watching Super Mario go down in a tough 3rd set tiebreaker, I found out Querrey was doing a signing so I went over there quickly. I got a picture with him and then headed back to watch the end of the Matkowski/Fyrstenberg vs. Nieminen/Cermak match. Matkowski/Fyrstenberg and then out of the blue, the Bryans Bunch yelled, "Hey Matt!" Haha, they like scaring me. The day before, Mark came out to practice and Tiffany said, "There's Mark." I turned my head around and kept searching and then saw him and went, "Ahhhhhhhhh!" They all laughed. I looked pretty dumb. Anyway, back to Tuesday, we waited for the Murray/Bhupathi match to begin. 3-4 games were played and then a small rain delay hit.
Experience of:  Matt
Amber told me Bob and Mike were having a signing. She, Tiffany, and Tinne left to go take pictures. I was hesitant for a second and then told their Mom and Dad that I have waited so long to get a picture with Bob and Mike so I decided to go get in the line. It was so long! The signing was scheduled at 5:30 but the boys didn't arrive until 5:55. I was nervous because I had to leave at 6:30. I finally got to Bob and Mike and the Bryans Bunch gave me a big thumbs up! I was so excited! I had waited five years to get a picture with them since I saw them in Cape Cod in 2002 and it was finally happening. I gave them a Wimbledon photo as a gift for them to have and then had them sign a "Doubles Yes, ATP No" shirt that I would be giving away for a prize on my site for Mark. Amber took a picture with my camera and the bobandmike.com camera!! It was so awesome!! Thanks to them!
Thursday was a day of unexpected events. I met Mark's family and had another pic with Mark, this time in my Bryans Bunch shirt. I hope he wasn't disappointed in me, hehe.  The Bryans Bunch spotted me at the practice. We chatted for a bit and made plans to sit together for the match at noon. Boy was it hot! It must have been 105 degrees in the front row. We sat in the back row facing the players during the match and we started the slow caps when Mark/Daniel had break point early in the match. All of them went to go check out Moya's match except the dad so we stayed for the rest of the match. We were the only ones doing the slow clap for Mark and Daniel but they appreciated it. After they won, we got a racket salute and it was awesome! I went to go see Mark and Dawn after the match. Mark thanked me for the support and asked for a high five! haha. Dawn then introduced me to a couple of her relatives and told me that they loved the site. She then offered me a ticket to the night session which was when the Bryans were playing!!! WOW!! The Knowles' were so nice! I let the Bryans Bunch know and they were happy for me. I told them I had to leave at 9:30 so we prayed James would win quickly during the 7pm match.
We saw Bob and Mike warm up at around 6pm. They had a great practice session. I had a picture taken with my shirt in case I couldn't stay for the match.  James match started so we headed our separate ways for that match. Our wish was granted as he thumped JCF!! The Bunch waved me down for Bob and Mike's match. It was so electrifying sitting with those guys. They really are the heart and soul of the crowd for the Bryans matches! I felt so cool cheering with them and doing the chants. It's nice to know groups like that are open and allow other fans to join. We had a picture taken right before Bob and Mike won. They defeated Murray/Bhupathi 6-2, 6-3 and outclassed them by miles! After they won, Bob and Mike hit signed balls up to the fans as part of a new event in Cincy. They hit one up high towards us. It went a little to the right off us but I walked over a bit to try and get close to it. It hit off the stairway bar and went right next to me. I grabbed it as fast as I could!! I was in shock and so was the dad! He saw it and then yelled, "GO MATT!" and gave me a high five! The rest of the bunch turned around and saw I got it and they were all excited for me! I offered to give it to them since they were so kind to let me sit with them but they told me to keep it. What a night! They then waited for me to get picked up safely and I said goodbye.
