| June 13th, 2008 Our cousin and good friend, Carl, has been with us the whole way and has really helped out a lot. We have a new massage therapist, Helene, who is keeping us injury free and we are really looking forward to the next few weeks on the grass. Other than the many hours on the court, we have been spending time playing cards, writing music, and seeing movies. Ironman and Semipro are two of the movies we recommend and Indiana Jones gets 2 thumbs down. Unfortunately, we missed Dusseldorf this year, but we took good advantage of a valuable week off in Paris, relaxing, training, and eating at our favorite restaurant in the world, "Le Entrecote". There is only one thing on the menu, steak and fries, and I'd pay good money for the recipe to their secret green sauce! After we lost in the quarterfinals of the Doubles in Paris, Mike left for London and our coach, Macca, went home to see his family in Florida. Me and Carl stayed to take care of business in the mixed doubles. It was a lot of fun playing with Victoria. She hits a huge ball and came up with some clutch shots in some big moments. Carl and I celebrated the victory on the Champs Ellysees before jumping on the Eurostar to come to London for the Queens tourney. For Queens, Mike and I are staying with our long time friends, the Segals, in Chelsea. Mike and Carl rented some guitars, I have a piano, and we've been jamming away in the evenings. Speaking of jamming, tonight we are going to Coldplay's rehearsal at Wembley Stadium. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see these guys practice their songs up close and possibly meet the band. Next week we are all traveling 1/2 hour north to the beautiful Stoke Park resort to play 3 exhibition matches. They have imaculate grass courts, 27 holes of golf, and a sweet gym.
